SP8 North Staffs launch event - Sunday 5th April Mcdonalds - Newscastle-Under-Lyme
'Speight of the Art is holding a launch at McDonald's restaurant at Newcastle High Street on the 5th of April between 10-12 Midday. Forty free places are offered to children locally to participate in the event. (Parents, however, will have to remain at the event with their children.)
The launch will be centred around an Art workshop lead by a professional artist, Ian Cook. The famous artist who paints using radio remote control cars, recently appeared on Blue Peter. Ian is also well known for his fantastic painting of Lewis Hamilton, Formula 1 racing driver, outside the Tower of London which has had national coverage on the news.
Ian will deliver an Art workshop to the children and share his skills on creating art work with the use of radio remote control cars - How special and unique is this?
It will be a spectacular event with attendance by the Mayor and Mayoress. There will be also some others celebrities at the event. Oliver Speight, the Founder of the Speight of the Art - The Mark Speight Foundation will host the event and give a speech about the Foundation. There will be also be a DVD presentation about Mark.
The intention is that television and radio will be represented at the event.'
The Speight of the Art Team at North Staffordshire, Head Quarters and the staff at McDonald's Newcastle Branch staff are really looking forward to the upcoming event.
It is hoped that the children who attend the Art workshop have a memorable and enjoyable time whilst learning a new artistic skill.
Maybe the children who attend might become recognised artists one day!
