Oliver visit to Teague’s Bridge Primary School in Trench to celebrate the launch in the Midlands of the foundation
Hundreds of children stood on the playground to see Mr Speight launch the school’s new green play ship, designed by year four pupils after studying the book The Green Ship in lessons.

Northern Ireland Opening 16 - 18th December 2008
What a welcome we received ! The Northern Irish have certainly set the benchmark for our UK activities!
Louise McLean, our Regional Coordinator, her colleague Veron and public relations friend, Geri, have helped in no uncertain manner to set the scene for SP8 of the Art in Northern Ireland.

SP8 of the Art, Northern Ireland is launched this week! Oliver and Francoise will be meeting Lousie McLean and her team in Belfast on Tuesday 16th for the 2 day opening tour. Visits to Macosquin Primary School and Carnalridge Primary School in Portrush, Northern Ireland's newest state of the art school, have been organised by Louise.

Official launch meeting of the Mark Speight Foundation
Wednesday 12th November 2008, 1.20pm, sees the official launch meeting of the Mark Speight Foundation. Volunteers from all over the UK, including Northern Ireland will gather in The 20th Century Theatre, Notting Hill to lay the foundations for this charity that has been set up in honour of Mark Speight who died earlier this year.
Oliver Speight, Mark’s father is officially launching the Foundation on Wednesday with an inaugural meeting where two London schools themselves have created works of art to help launch the foundation.
Young Pavement Artists Competition
The Young Pavement Artists Competition is organised each year by the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign. Mark was President of the competition for 8 years during which time he gave up time to encourage kids to get drawing and raise awareness of muscle disease and the charity’s work.
We are following in Mark’s footsteps by teaming up with the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign to continue to raise awareness of this fabulous fundraising competition.
