Another Northern Ireland welcome awaits Oliver!

Another Northern Ireland welcome awaits Oliver!

Well, well, for those of you who didnt get an opportunity to meet up with Oliver when he was over in December for the official launch, you may get a chance to catch him this time, when he returns, as promised, to Northern Ireland to see what else we have begun to get started with.

Some of you may have seen the article featured in the Belfast Telegraph weekend magazine during the month of January, (by Lawrence White)this was an excellent feature, very sensitively worded, and gave a great insight into some of Oliver's dreams and aspirations for Speight Of The Art Foundation, how it will ultimately grow to be one of the UK's biggest arts charities for young people eventually and of course some wonderfull stories he shared about Mark.

I thought there would be no better time to bring someone to Northern Ireland and soak up some of our culture and hospitality than over St Patricks!
This time Oliver will get to visit other schools that we hope to get projects underway with, get to see some traditional skills demonstrated as well as an opportunity to listen to the 'Harp' being played in Garvagh, a pottery class in progress, on the Saturday evening of the 14th March, The Marlene Dunlop School of Irish Dance, will put on a display of dance at the Magherabuoy Hotel, Portrush. Who are once again hosting this event. ..

On St Patricks Day we shall travel to Ballycastle and see some of the projects they have big plans for and we hopr to take in the traditional ploughing event using the heavy horses! Traditional to this area on St Patricks Day.
