Fun evening of Traditional Irish Dance & Phoenix Community Drum Circle & more !
A warm welcome awaits Oliver when he visits Northern Ireland. By way of showing some of our great hospitality, an open informal fun filled evening is being held in the MAGHERABUOY HOTEL PORTRUSH CO ANTRIM.
TUNE IN TO BBC RADIO ULSTER,STEPHEN NOLAN PROGRAMME MONDAY 16TH MARCH & HEAR OLIVER CHAT TO STEPHEN about his forthcoming trip to the province.
14th March 7.30pm til 11.00pm
Evening will begin with a presentation by Oliver Speight, updating everyone on what progress has been made since the foundation was launched, this will then followed with team dance displays by the MARLENE DUNLOP SCHOOL OF IRISH DANCING.
We then intend to really liven things up with the PHOENIX DRUM CIRCLE, Dave Hoy & Barry Donnelly really know how to get a crowd involved, they want as many folks to come along and join in the fun, if you have a drum or a musical instrument, bring it along, there will be Djembe Drums, all percussion, shakers etc to join in with for those of you who want to take part, this is a really energising way of creating rythm, FACT. . . you wont be able to sit without tapping your feet or clapping your hands. . . any Bodhran players out there?
Other fun activities juggling with a difference!
The evening is suitable for all ages ( that dont mind a lot of noise!)
