Time flies! So much has happened in the last 3-4 months with visits to N. Ireland, a comprehensive arts day at Teagues School, Telford (which attracted the attention of both national and local TV, radio and regional press agencies respectively) together with an innovative and creative workshop at McDonalds restaurant, Newcastle under Lyme, adding variety to the spice of local children's lives.

The anniversary of Mark's death in April was a poignant reminder of the 'raison d'etre' of the Foundation. It provided me with a quiet momnet to reflect on the talented life of my Peter Pan son, whose gift of artistic inspiration to the children of the UK has become so evident nationally.

Exciting times and challenges lie ahead! National and local funding sources are being identifed and support is being courted from Government sources. But every little helps and any gifts from the general public at large are welcomed. Remember it is the children of the UK who will benefit from SP8 of the Art's initiatives in years to come. Help us NOW by seeking out the DONATE button on our website.

Have you seen the exciting SP8 programme which lies ahead over the next 6 weeks? Events ranging from workshops in schools in Staffordshire, Shropshire and Cheshire to Boris Johnson's Art Week for children on July 9th at Dulwich College followed by another McDonalds resturant day at Derby where we will embrace the presence of children from Chernobyl. Lisa Ratcliff, Mark's former agent at Billy Marsh, has excelled herself once again by securing the services of the BBC SMART team of Kirsten O'Brien and Mike Faschetti, Mark's former colleagues to participate at Dulwich on 9th July. Lisa's team includes Jamie Marcus (Aspects of Love and Phantom of the Opera fame) and Less Drinkwater (Mr Prank Patrol of CBBC TV and also Manager of the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester).

A remarkable professional theatrical and Art workshop event is being crystallised for Dulwich by this team. It will become the benchmark for future dymamic events created by the SP8 Foundaiton.
