Lee Drinkwater an introduction
Lee is now the Company Manager of the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester, the largest producing theatre in the North West staging on average 15 productions per year. As an Art Director he has delivered over 60 episodes of Hollyoaks for Mersey TV/Lime Pictures and Channel 4 including several late night specials on location in Paris.
As Production Designer he has shot several commercials for TV in the UK and recently completed 30 episodes of Prank Patrol for CBBC where he was also the 'on screen' face teaching the children how to make sets, props, costumes and special effects. This can still be seen on BBC channels.
Lee loves nothing more than being faced with a challenge, the bigger the better. Over the years he has been faced with producing large scale charity events in a matter of weeks/days with no budget; calling upon his contacts through out the entertainment industry and beyond for help.
He lives in Bolton, just outside Manchester in a cottage with his partner and a cat. In his spare time he is a keen photographer, gardener and enjoys watching other people's work at the theatre. He also loves travelling, even if it is just a case of getting in the car and seeing where he ends up!
Lee is looking forward to helping the expansion and growth of Speight of the Art and offering his services as the back-bone to all their events up and down the country. He is very proud to be associated with a Foundation that he knows will make an immense difference to the lives of children in the future.
